This Autumn, Fab@CIC is starting a new initiative to learn more biomaterials and how to use them to help foster circular design ecosystems and making the fabrication lab more sustainable by turning waste materials into viable fabrication materials.

Design roles can fall under a wide array of titles, expectations, and skills sets. They can include visual design, prototyping, user experience design, HTML/CSS, and even front-end development with coding languages like SASS, CSS, and javascript.

The past few months we’ve been listening to the conversations our Action Design Boston members have been during our Open Project Nights.

We’ve had a lot of conversations of people trying to incorporate a lot of the concepts and practices integral to the fields Action Design focuses on: behavioral economics, design, and psychology for advocacy and positive change.
